Lonely Avenue is about exclusivity, how people are detached from reality and don’t live in the ‘real’ world. They have beautiful homes but have no personal interaction with people or even their own neighbours.
It becomes their mission to keep anyone out of their world who is not like themselves. They are afraid of losing their money, possessions and exclusive status, as these are the things that define them as a person.
They live within a ‘small island’ of privilege and will do anything to protect that existence. Because the only people they know are like themselves, their own possessions and lifestyle mean everything to them, but they can never have "enough".
